I live for a cubano sandwich, and each ingredient paired so perfectly and was so individually delicious. I loved the warm, local vibes of this restaurant, even with modern touches like online ordering. Service was fast and efficient!

Some friends and I stopped by this weekend to enjoy the great weather. We were seeking out a rooftop in particular, so I'm glad there was some space at Colada Shop's rooftop! There's about 5-6 small 2-3 person tables under a cover and more casual seating without sun/rain cover. You order via QR code and it gets delivered to your seat. Since service is almost non-existent (but all the employees seem nice if you interact with them), it's hard to judge how long people will hang out if you're waiting for a spot outside/on the rooftop. Sometimes they bring out the incorrect order (empanada wise) but luckily all the empanadas are good so I can't complain! Always a good stop along 14th street! Looking forward to our next visit.

Went here for brunch with a friend on Sunday morning. We sat in the back area which was super cozy and ordered from the QR code, and they brought over our food. The cafe con leche (I got 25% sweetness) and Cuban sandwich were both delicious and fresh. The line for coffee to-go got super long around noon, but there was still seating for dine-in in the back area and the upstairs patio.

This is a really nice, cozy Cuban cafe around the corner from Trader Joe's. I ordered a Cuban sandwich ($16), which was delicious, filled with ham, pork, and doused in a mustard that was much tastier than it had any business being. The sandwich was just well-executed. My favorite part, surprisingly enough, was the temperature. The sandwich was hot, not scorching, but warm enough to encourage rapid and immediate consumption. You can enjoy your food on the patio just outside the front door, or the rooftop up the stairs (I recommend the roof). This is a great place for whenever you're craving a Cuban snack.

Their empanadas are small but mighty. From the very first time we tried this place, we make it a point to get some empanadas every time we are in Washington. We've tried some of the seasonal ones and they are always delicious. A bit pricey for what it is, but delicious so as a special treat every once in a while, it's worth it. Their restaurants are beautifully decorated with enough seating if you don't come during their peak hours. Service is always good and efficient.

Colada shop is a hybrid between a coffee shop/cafe/bar (with a cozy rooftop) and does each of those pieces quiet well. I've been here multiple times with friends and also just on dates and I can say the food and drink have always been quite good. The concept of this place is for the most part very cool and is honestly pretty different from what I've experienced in DC.

Colada Shop is a frequent favorite of mine for takeout, first dates, or in this case a weeknight happy hour meetup. Everything is reasonably priced, the staff is welcoming / friendly, and the food / drinks are fantastic! This month (Dec 2023) they have a rotating holiday cocktail menu, with each week featuring two different drinks facing off to win the most votes. I really liked the pomegranate spiced marg-like drink! Will definitely be back to check out the other drinks later this month. The upstairs bar is filled with holiday decorations for a more festive vibe

Colada cafe Me and my husband went to DC on vacation and found out about the wharf area. The whole area was super cute! I was specifically looking for hot chocolate and a place with WiFi. I found colada cafe through Yelp and walking around. When we walked in we sat down and saw QR codes where we could order through an app. We ordered one hot chocolate or abuela chocolate in a to go cup small and within a few minutes someone arrived to drop it off. Inside it was very loud, loud music, busy even on a 3pm during a Monday. We found they also had an outdoor seating order too that was covered so might be quieter there. One other thing to note the parking is either street or there is a two garages. Overall cute Cuban place. Might not be the best for studying though- I used my AirPods with noise cancellation and still hear faint music and others conversations.
